Project description:

Size distributions of aerosol particles and cloud droplets, concentrations of cloud condensation nuclei, radon, and ion were measured continuously at the summit of Mt. Fuji from 18 July to 24 August 2014. Size distributions of aerosol particles larger than 0.3 m measured with optical particle counters (OPC, KR12A) at the second floor of first building and first floor of third building were shown in Fig. 1.  Concentrations of particles larger than 0.3 m at both buildings showed similar variations. On the other hand, only concentration of particles larger than 5 m at the third sometimes showed high values at dawn. While the sample air was through diffusion dryer at the first, the sample air was not through it at the third. So the OPC at the third measured grown particles in a cloud.
