Project description:

The lightning current which passes through the earthing conductor which connects the Mt. Fuji weather station and the foot of a mountain as a means for observation of a lightning was measured with the Rogwski coil. The measurement period was from July 20 to August 19. The Records of observation waveform were automatically performed this time, although they were manual the year before last. Although there was no current by a direct lightning stroke and it was not able to observe this time as well as the year before last, the current by the lightning phenomenon around the Mt. Fuji weather station was observed. The pulses exceeding 100 A were observed, and the observed time zone had a change in an atmospheric electric field, and correlation was seen . It was shown that it is an effective means for observation of lightning discharge.
