Atmospheric CO, O3, and SO2 were observed at the summit of Mt. Fuji during summer in 2016.
High CO and O3 were observed at same time caused by long range transport of atmospheric pollutants. Influence of stratospheric O3 was also observed. High SO2 influenced by volcanic activities of other mountains were observed three times.

Our mission

The mission of MFRS is to support and enhance the activities of researchers and students in various fields of science and education by maintaining and providing a unique Research Station atop Mt. Fuji.
