(December 16, 2023) NPO MFRS was awarded the 13th Grand Prize for Meteorological Culture.

NPOMFRS was awarded the "13th Weather Culture Grand Prize (Award of Merit)" by the WNI Weather Culture Creation Center for its "research activities in mountain atmospheric environmental science using the former Mt. Fuji Weather Station. The awarding ceremony  was held on December 16, 2023 on board the SHIRASE5002 (the third-generation Antarctic research vessel Shirase) after the announcement of each prize at the "12th High School and College of Technology Weather Observation Instrument Contest Final Round" and was attended by Dr. Kazuhiko Miura, President of the NPO.
